Andrea Harris [Too Much To Dream] via Jeff Jarvis [BuzzMachine] discovered this first post of a new Iraqi blogger. It appears that language and culture may be the biggest problem in Iraq.

Those two are always the major problem in any foreign country! One thing that I think is good is that it's us and the Brits mainly over there. We are very culturally adaptable because well we're made up of so many cultures. The Brits have prior experience in the region, so have some prior knowledge to draw on (from elders who remember, etc.).
Another problem is that there are a lot of people in Iraq who will try to cause trouble (unhappy still-free Ba'athists, Sh'ite Islamists backed by Iran, Sunni Islamists backed by the Saudis and possibly Al Qaeda, and so forth). If they can cause or increase a cultural misunderstanding, they'll do it.
