Did the Blogosphere evaporate during my absence?

I do not think I have ever seen a time when I looked up and down my blogroll that there was not a single blog not showing to have been recently updated. It makes me want to run turn on my TV to see what intriguing news story has drawn everyone from their computers.

Don't always trust Blogrolling's ability to judge who has recently updated and who has not.

Yah, my blogrolling pings work about 10% of the time.

Some people try RSS feeds but I just go for the old fashioned: check each one individually.

I've been working hard every day posting while some people have been off camping....but that ping thingee usually adds an error to my activity log.

I was watching Firefly.

And I can confirm that the blo.gs / weblogs.com ping fails rather a lot.

The blogroll ping errs everytime I post a new entry. I thought it was just me. I usually just copy it and paste it in the ping box and then save the entry again and it goes through the next time. Anyone who has any information about why this happens, please feel free to pass it along.
