Don't you ever wonder?

Jeff Trigg of RandomActOfKindness found this story about an acquittal by a jury in a case involving proecution for Income Tax Evasion.

Juror Barbara Snodgras of Memphis said the jury did not convict because "we all felt that the prosecution didn't prove its case."
Now, in every criminal trial, I always remind the jury, as does the judge, and usually the prosecution, that they are the sole judge of the credibility of the witnesses. I wonder how many people believe anyone from the IRS has any credibility of any kind.

Hope the IRS isn't bored and decides to pick on me again. I have been audited 3 times by the IRS and 5 times by the state of Arizona in the past 9 years. I could fill a blog with the abuses I have suffered at their hands. For a while a typical day included calling my spouse and ending the conversation with "Oh, by the way, we got another lien notice today." Followed by my spouse saying "That's nice honey, what do you want for dinner." Getting a lien notice from the government should not be a part of a normal day.
