If you told a joke and nobody laughed, would it still be funny?*

Don't you know there are people who make their living writing jokes that nobody laughs at (surely you know that all that laughter from Seinfield was canned)? I mean, how often was there ever anything funny on that show? It was boring and stupid. Think of some of the stuff we see on the boob tube. How much of it is really funny? Yet we 'hear' laughter. The joke is funny if you get paid for it, doesn't matter if anyone laughs or not.

Um...yes? Of course, there's those times when it's inappropriate to laugh, such as during sex...
