I've tried and tried and tried

Well, sorry about the dearth of posting today, but if you have been checking in, you likely have seen the problems I am having with the new template. Despite have looked over everything in the template and CSS file, for some reason, the blog column is coming up too wide to work with the template. I have no idea why, and I am reworking the template, thinking maybe my cut and paste job between the old template and the new template, may be the root of the problem. Of course, I also see that if blogrolling goes down, my blog will take forever to load up. There is just too much I do not understand about webpage designing, and what is funny, about 5 years ago, I knew much more about how to do things than I do now.

I am pretty sure I picked a pretty good day to have been doing this, though, as I see I did not have many visitors today, and for some reason, yesterday's Navel Gazing Report™ went right over the top of everyone's heads, although Denita got close.

AAAARGH! Homer Simpson! I shoulda THUNK! *smacks forehead*

Good luck beating your page into shape dear! :-) Have you tried talking to the folks at MT about it?

I've been spare this week myself, mostly because of all the preparations for Zane's Big Day. My biggest cause for scramble-fest isn't even directly concerning the party--it's the fact that my Mother-In-Law is going to be spending this Fri, Sat, and Sun with us. Oh sweet friggin' joy...

I'm no expert on CSS, but I think I found your problem. You need to adjust the width settings in your CSS file.

Your present settings are 650 pixels for the blog body on this blog. That doesn't leave any flexiblity. Try changing the width settings from pixels to % being careful not to go over 100% for all columns total. That should also allow for some flexibilty for different monitor resolutions.

The settings over at my blog are 20% for the left and right column and 50% for the center column containing the blog. That leaves 10% for padding/margin stuff. Which I don't quite understand yet.

Hope this helped some. Good Luck!
