The new Blogger's Alliance

OK! It seems that becomin' allied with like-minded bloggers is the name of the game. Thus far, I ain't been allied with any of 'em, ceptin' maybe that munu group. Mainly, I guess I ain't lined up with any alliances 'cause they all seem to be dealin' with blog warrin' or political stances. As such, I am bringin' out an idea I had several years ago to create a society for those people who take responsibility for their lives, actions, and decisions, as wells as attempt to teach others to do likewise. Here is our logo:

"for those people who take responsibility for their lives, actions, and decisions,"

Would that mean I have to quit whining on my blog??

I guess it would depend upon what you were whinin' 'bout.

Nice badge, Tig--did you make that yourself?

If so, then you're a better artist than you let on! ;-)

So we will be usurpers? Heh.

Usurp as much traffic as possible from the non-responsible people in the blogosphere is the plan, I guess. ;)

What would the members have as duties/responsibilities to this alliance?

Posted by: Tink at November 9, 2003 08:47 PM

First of all, yes Denita I did design the badge myself, as I am quite adept at drawing circles and such in Corel Draw. ;)

Duites of members? Hmmm. Well, first of all, you would have to be a responsible person, meaning that you live up to ideals that involve family, morals, and patriotism. You would have to espouse these ideals in your blog and attempt to spread the message to others. Of course, you would have to display the logo on your blog. I suppose you would be required to regularly read blogs from other members of the alliance as well as link worthy posts from alliance member blogs. Other than that, I am open for other suggestions.

Count me in!!! I have been campaigning for societal acceptance of the "R" word since I started blogging!

I'm IN! This is one of my pet peeves, people who can't take responsibility for themselves and their actions!

Oooo...I would like to join this group! Can we branch off and start our own country too? (I can dream, can't I?) Great logo, great alliance, and great idea.

Is membership still open? Can anyone join? Not sure about running the orange banner - probably not applicable in Australia.....

Should the logo go to this page (http://tiglaw.com/blog/archives/cat_usurp_news.html) or to the munu page(http://usurp.mu.nu/)?

Posted by: Ozguru at December 30, 2003 04:13 AM

Although the banner might not be applicable in Australia, the web is world wide, and as such, the banner might alert readers from the US to a situation in the US. I did only suggest that everyone display the banner, but it is not required.

Yes, please point the banner to the munu page.

Glad to see another responsible person ready to do their part to assist in making the world a better place to live.
