Hmmm, drivin' halfway 'cross the nation and no one jumped up and said Hey, I am on your way, stop by and I will buy you a Dr. Pepper. Oh well, likely my short notice is more to blame than there being a conspiracy to avoid meetin' me. Well, if ya happen to be drivin' up or down I-10 'tween Texas and Florida and see an ugly guy in a champagne colored Lincoln Town Car, wave. If he waves back, it was probably me.
IF you are new to the site, this is probably about as good as you will get.
For my regular viewers, I have assembled a list of the finest blogs to read I could find and have published them under the title Blogroll over on the left column. I recommend you check the ones with the blue star if ya are lookin' for something really fresh.
Well, in the words of one of my distant cousins: Exit, stage left. Points to anyone who can identify such cat.

Used to watch him and Huckleberry Hound every afternoon after school. And Grape Ape.
You know, I actually thought of that when I read your post; but then I noticed that you said I-10 starting at Beaumont ... I'm too far west in Houston .... *pout*
Posted by: squishybear at November 26, 2003 11:19 AMHeavens to Mergatroid! It's a shame you're not on the route or I'd have already fired up the smoker! However, drop on by when you get back! :-)

Posted by: annie at November 27, 2003 01:55 PMDamn, damn, damn, I never have figured out why if I am not on my computer my login nevr will go through. So here I am bloggin' in my own comments just to tell ya'll I am in Key Largo. I Missed seein' most of Southern Florida because it got dark before I got this far down. But you can guarantee I will find me an alligator somewhere tomorrow for sure. I hope I can find a Wal-Mart somewhere down here in the keys, because I forgot my damn camera. I guess I will have to buy me another digital camera tomorrow just to take a few pics for Denita. ;)
