Texas goes Canadian

I awoke this morning to find that a severe blizzard blew through last night and dumped almost an inch of snow. I am tellin' ya, Texas looked more like Canada. I am waitin' on the snowplows to come clear the streets before I venture out.

It was gorgeous this morning--just enough of the fluffy stuff to make everything look like it had been decorated in taffetta and lace, then it all promptly melted away and the day has been sumptuously cool and pleasant. And SUNNY!

(I sure hope it stays this way for a while!)

Happy Valentine's Day, dear!

It won't look like Canada unless you have a lot more than one inch of the white stuff. But even one inch makes everything lovely. Happy winter!

I wish we'd gotten some of the wintery weather over here in Bryan, Texas, but we were just a bit too far east. Ho hum. We just have COLD and rain. Yuck. But next year should be different - if my plans work out, I'll be getting my Ph.D. in Minneapolis...they have just a bit more wintery weather than central Texas...(like the 20 foot snow drifts they had in northern Minnesota earlier in the week). Yeah...I know I'm gonna freeze to death. LOL

Send some of that stuff to Houston! My son is 8 and never seen snow! He wants to see so bad, but being the true native Texan he is I think he would get sick of the cold quickly.....
