Oh my, oh my, what ever have I gone and done now?

I don't know why someone from 81.9.106.157 came in and left 25 comments on various posts without posing a URL. The appeared to have left 3 or 4 different email addresses. Their comments were not trollish, necessarily, in nature but added nothin' of substance to any of the posts. Most were the trite statements like Thee best blogggg or somethin' similar. Mostly, it was just the sheer number of such comments that I found irritatin'. Regrettably, I found it necessary to delete them all and to ban such IP number. I do so hope that I did not just press the iggy button on my new No. 1 fan, or, George forbid, the mother of my children. ;)

I had the same thing happen. I'm thinking the little nitwit hasn't figured out how to work his auto-spamming software yet. Time to add another ISP to the blacklist.

yep, he is in the blacklist as well, as that is how I easily deleted all 25 of his/her comments in one fell swoop.*

*Ain't it so literally funny how some of these common sayin's we are so used to hearin' in conversations look when you actually write them down?

Tiger: The funny thing was the idiot hit me as well, BUT, he only posted 9 comments, under 3 different names, and ONLY to posts that specifically mentioned or linked to your blog. I, too, blacklisted them and deleted the comments.

I caught him right after the second one and gave him the Grand Bounce.

Wow, John's comment was the strangest in that he only commented on posts linked to me ... what about the rest of you, did you notice that the posts he commented to were ones linked to me, or is what happened to John's blog just a coincidence?

He was all over Munuvia--Pixy squashed him, but not before he got over 130 comments on all our blogs which had to be deleted. I whoised him--some Russian...

Maybe he was just some friendly Russian kid practicin' his English????

I got the same thing myself, Tig. I didn't know what to do with them!

Patrick, as far as I know, that is about all you can do. Of course, when I am on dial up, my IP numbers change, so that is no guarantee that the little idiot won't be back.

since I love "trolling" the internet (not blogs) I went to
ws.arin.net/cgibin/whois/ and followed the tracks
of 81.9.106.157......it first said, Amersterdam---but further
checking traced it to 4 or 5 Russians with the same IP..
interesting, to say the least!

OK, I Googled "81.9.106.157" and found that Orange Haired Boy barely beat Susie out of the #1 spot and I am in 4th place.
