From what I understand of his message, what he wants is for people to open their eyes and their hearts and see the war that the U.S. has brought to Iraq for what it truly is. Even in his grief, he has not lost his objectivity and reason. -- SassyThe 'he' to which she refers is Michael Berg and her conclusions are in regard to his May 22nd message to the Stop The War Coalition. Michael Berg also said this in the same letter:
"They ask: "Don't you blame the five men who killed him?" I have answered that I blame them no more or less than the Bush administration, but I am wrong: I am sure, knowing my son, that somewhere during their association with him these men became aware of what an extraordinary man my son was. I take comfort that when they did the awful thing they did, they weren't quite as in to it as they might have been. I am sure that they came to admire him."
He assigns compassion to the people that sawed off his sons head for world wide distribution. He believes that the killers were acting, and "not as in to it as they might have been, when they shouted God is Great,"
Also of note is MIchael Bergs long time membership in International A.N.S.W.E.R, a communist front group in the states. His anti-war views have nothing to do with losing his Son, and everything to do with a long standing political agenda.
