Callin' 'pon all the bloggers from The Great State of Texas

[Bumpin' this up to the top, as it seems to have been wholly overlooked]

Ya know, they seem to have good groupin's of bloggers, like the Rocky Top Brigade and the Bear Flag League, but I have yet to see any groupin' for Texas bloggers, although I know there are lots of us out there. I am proposin' that we start an association of such. If necessary, I am willin' to start a blogroll listin' of all Texas bloggers, and allowin' all Texas bloggers to just copy such onto their blog so that we can all have a listin' of all members of the groupin. Of course, we will need a name. I propose:

Now I am absolutely sure there are some better graphic artists out there, so it won't hurt my feelin's if someone comes up with a better logo than that. What is important is that we begin to recognize each other and let the world know that it ain't all that smart to Mess with Texans. So whatta ya say? Can I hear a couple of yeehaws and one yippee-yi-ooooo?

Just wanted to point out the existence of TexasBlogs over at RingSurf. But hey, I'm a joiner, and your idea's still different from a netring, so count me in!

Do include me in, although at the moment I have less of a blog than I do of a Live Journal. I did have one, called Brazos de Dios Cantina, but it got weighed down by comment spammers and I was utterly helpless to defend myself. On top of that I am not real consistent with posting, and LJ is a bit more easy going for when I want to rant. I dont feel like I have to be connected 24 hours a day, 7 days a week just to maintain an audience.

Decor on my site is mostly geared toward patrick o'brian (Master and Commander series) but I am going to see if I can't insert that logo to show I am a Texas blogger.

I am SW of Houston.

I don't go into anything intending to be a naysayer... actually, I do, being a natural aginner, but I'm still going to make my point. While I appreciate the effort, I think that we of this great state can do better for a name. I like "Lone Star Posse" for myself. Old-fashioned and hip-urban meanings, and a little more oomph.
