I sometimes wonder what they hope to accomplish --

Actual body of a SPAM I just received:

Dear roguegenius,
It's All Here For You, are you ready to take that step!

* CLlCK HeERE *

Uh, just exactly what step would that be? With such information as was provided, I feel insufficiently informed about the risks of the proffered activity to know whether I am ready to take such step. Please do try again -- when you get a clue. I suspect I will be dead by that time.

I have always been of the opinion that only an idiot would view spam as anything other than a disgusting aggravation. I'm more comfortable in that contention since I recently found out my mother-in-law reads ALL her spam. She loves the stuff. At 70 years of age, she hasn't acquired a lick of sense.

I seldom check any SPAM myself, but as I am hostin' the Carnival of Vanities for this week, and those who are not in my address book go into the junk mail box, I have had to check a couple of messages I usually would not even look at just to make sure I was not deletin' someone's submission message. I just thought this one was funny enough to blog 'bout. I suspect that your mother-in-law is likely also an addict of Home Shoppin' Network.
